One of the few tall building in Halmstad. It has 22 stories and it looks like a skyscraper compared to the buildings around it. I have been wanting to photograph the building for a long time, but didn't get the time to do so until recently. This photo was shot on a warm summer evening.

On Hallands väderö I had the opportunity to photograph a Small Copper butterfly. I had the luck to photograph a lot of butterflies last year, but non of them was a Small Copper. So I was happy to see a butterfly I hadn't photograph before. I was never able to get as close to it as I wanted. I hope I one day I will get a better opportunity.

All photos cut and resized.
When we were on Hallands väderö we saw a couple of swans around the island. These are the three best photos I got on them. All photos resized and cut.

This is the scene with The Warmonger that I promised to post. It is the second LEGO scene I have created and like the first one it is in the "Imperial revenge" theme. It is depicting a scene from the early stages of the Space Troll invasion. I have keep the scene small and simple because I don't have so many bricks and pieces to use. I'm still working on acquiring an large amount of LEGO pieces.

The scene is not meant to be viewed from more angles than these two. The soldier that is running away has one of those "double face" head, which means that he looks weird when viewed from behind. And the soldier that is caught in the claw does not have a face which fits with the situation. I blame these two faults on my small LEGO collection.
My girlfriend was nice enough to one day bring me a bouquet of wild Lupins to photographs at home. I like Lupins. They look nice and comes in different colors. To bad they often wither fast after you pick them.

Large parts of the island are pastures for cows, sheep and horses. I decided while I had the chance to photographs them. This blog needed a few pictures on cows.

This little cactus is a gift I received on a birthday party. It was not my party, so the gift was totally unexpected. The couple that gave me the cactus had cultivated it from a seed by themselves. They had gotten the seed from another cactus they own that had bloomed. I need to read up on cactus care so that I one day also will have a cactus that blooms.

Found this thing on the door to the building I live in. I have no idea what this little ugly bug is called, but as usual, such petty things doesn't stop me from photograph and blog about it.

Another Walker unit from the Space Troll army. This one is bigger than the light weight walker and only equipped for close range combat. It's main purpose is to intimidate and strike fear into the enemy. It is a favorite vehicle amongst the Troll Commanders.

I made this piece for a LEGO scene I had planed in my head, but after I build the walker and started on the scene I realized it did not fit together as planed. I decided to rethink the scene and created an another scene specially made for this piece. I will post pictures of that scene in a later post with some more backstory to the Imperial revenge theme.
For almost a year I have had a basil plant struggling for survival in my kitchen. I did not think it would still be alive after a such long time and I definitely did not think it would produce a flower for me. I had never seen a basil flower before so I feel happy that I got the opportunity to do so in my very own kitchen.

As you can see, these are only the first of many flowers on the stem.

This year I choose to make decorations for my balcony out of clay. Me and my girlfriend spent a few evenings molding, painting and varnish a couple of clay creations. Here are pictures on all of them.
"Hugging Ghosts" - Made by my girlfriend.
This is the oldest bridge in Halmstad. It was built in 1879 and is still used by both pedestrians and cars. I shoot these photos using two new filters I bought for my camera. One ND-filter [Länk] specifically bought for long exposure during the day and one Polarizing filter because the ND-filter wasn't enough. I wanted as long exposures as I could get. The longest I got on the bridge and river was 0.4 second.

On Hallands väderö I got the opportunity to photograph two birds I have never seen before. A Yellowhammer and a Ringed Plover.
